Lakme Fashion Week Spring Summer 2009 has finally begun from October 20th to 24th, 2008 at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai. The fashion extravaganza started with the collections of Shantanu & Nikhil. The collection, titled Red Earth, was jazzed up with jewellery from sponsor Gitanjali's Stefan Hafner line. All the collections exhibited in classic red and black to showcase global ethnic influences from an Indian perspective.
